Spice up your ruck march with these clever Bonehead Ruck Weight Plates.
They are multi-purpose weight plates that you can put in your rucksack as you walk anywhere. They come in different weights so you can start light and go heavy as you get stronger.
Thanks to the handles, you can use them in other ways too (like as a pseudo-kettlebell.)

Let’s review these ruck weight plates…
Bonehead Ruck Weight Plates Review
First of all, understand these are iron plates.
The weights are close to what’s advertised – so that’s pretty straight-forward.
If you are an adult male – you are probably gonna want to go with a 30lb weight, and maybe a 10lb weight so you can amp up the intensity.
If you do want to use TWO of them at once, make sure there is no metal to metal contact – or everyone is going to hear your plates clanking from a mile away.
How do these compare to the official GORUCK Ruck Plates?
They are cheaper, and they are sized like the ORIGINAL (now called GR1) Ruck Plates – meaning they are TALL.
They fit just fine in a GORUCK Rucker 3 or GR1.
They DO NOT fit in the Ruck Plate Carrier – that is meant only for the new style (formerly “Expert”) GORUCK Ruck Plates.
Overall, these get the job done as a backpack weight.
The handles are ergonomic too – you could use these as a sort of Kettlebell or Dumbbell – at least for some exercises.
Note that the top handle is more roomy than the lower (chin on the skull) handle.
Overall – these are a good option.
Bonehead Ruck Weight Plates Review – In Summary
That’s our review of the Bonehead Ruck Weight Plates from Fringe Sport.
They look cool – and they get the job done. They fit in a GR1 or Rucker, but they don’t fit in the GORUCK Ruck Plate Carrier.
They should fit in just about any regular backpack though.
The handles make them versatile – and they are a fun way to spice up your training.
Now that you’ve got the ruck weights, get a rucksack to put them in.
We recommend either the GORUCK Rucker 3 or the GR1.
