We’ve reviewed the Bullet size rucksack before – but this is a new iteration – with a significant new material.
Built out of VX21, the Bullet 15L is lightweight and streamlined, providing an easy stash and go. It is a grab-and-go rucksack that prepares you to explore with less on your shoulders. It nests perfectly inside of your GR2, and you can toss in just your essentials. The exterior materials used for green, coyote, and black are XPAC VX21 420D (70% nylon, 30% polyester), and for Orange, GORUCK used XPAC RVX25 (100% polyester). All designs used XPAC RVX25 (100% polyester) for the interior material, with XPAC RVX25 hot orange as the liner fabric for visibility.
The Bullet also uses waterproof YKK AquaGuard exterior zippers and YKK zippers on the interior with silent, glove-friendly zipper pulls built from parachute 550 cord. It is built in the USA, measuring 10″W x 18.5″H x 5.5″D and weighs 1.35lbs. Its open flat design makes it easier to pack and organize. The Bullet has three rows of exterior MOLLE on the front and a limited edition leather patch.
The all-new 210D HT (High Tenacity) CORDURA® on the back panel and underside of the shoulder straps is less rough and doesn’t aggravate the skin or chew up mild apparel. It has a hydration bladder that you can just clip into the interior D-ring with a carabiner and feed the hose through the exit port under the top handle of the ruck. The 15L Bullet Fits the 10LB, 20LB, and 30LB Ruck Plates (for Rucker) or (for GR1) in the plate pocket. It also holds a 20LB or 40LB sandbag. Perfect for everyday rucking or adding weight to your day adventure.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t snag one of these before they sold out.
But, let me give you my thoughts on the Bullet and the 15L size.
15L is a great size – not too big, and not too small.
It’s a daypack size for sure, but given the lay flat design of these bags – you get to decide how to use the space.
