GORUCK Training Weight Vest – Overview
One of the most significant parts of a weight vest is the shoulder strap because this is part of the vest that carries the weight on your shoulders. If it has minimal or no padding, imagine how uncomfortable it would be to your shoulders and your training. Or, if the shoulder strap is made of nylon straps, it will dig into your shoulders with every movement.
To solve this problem, GORUCK took the shoulder straps from the Rucker, which are the most comfortable on the planet under load, and sized and formed them to make the world’s best Training Weight Vest. The vest is made comfortable to the skin, even when worn shirtless. It is compatible with Ruck Plates up to 2x 30 LBS and other training plates while keeping the weight stable even while running.
This weight vest is made of 500D CORDURA® as the primary material and 210D CORDURA® for the interior material. The back flap material that covers the Velcro straps is made of 330D CORDURA®, while the Velcro plate closure that holds the plate in place is from 1050 Ballistic Nylon. It weighs 1.65 LBS and measures 17.5″ x 10.5″W from the top of the shoulder strap to the bottom of the vest. It also has two waist belt straps that measure 19.5″ each.
