GR1 Ruck in Camo Colors – Overview
Thriving in cities and warzones, the GR1 is the toughest rucksack ever built. It is developed and proven by Special Forces soldiers serving in Baghdad and versatile enough for New York City. It opens flat for easy packing and has extra padded shoulder straps and a top handle to carry weightier loads efficiently. This ruck is manufactured in the USA and proven to Special Forces’ standards for over a decade at the GORUCK Challenge.
GR1 has a removable, rigid plastic frame sheet that stabilizes the laptop compartment and lets you carry heavier weight comfortably. It uses YKK zippers with silent, glove-friendly zipper pulls made from a parachute 550 cord. To make it even tougher, the laptop compartment is made to be bombproof and is extra reinforced with a false bottom so that when you set your ruck down, your laptop won’t even see.
GR1 is highly water-resistant and is TSA Compliant, and fits under the seat in front of you. It has three internal pockets — one large elastic pocket, one large mesh zippered pocket, and one small go-to pocket. It also has an external slant pocket for immediate access to keys, snacks, and other little things.
